Meet the family
Our idea comes after years of friendship and important events.
Ania Murawska: Polish by birth but Mexican of heart that has made Mexico her home for 13 years now (picture) & Jimena Leyva: Mexican and avid traveler (picture).
We shared home, experience and family during 4 years in Lucero's home ( Jimena's mother and Ania's Mexican mom) (picture) One day after years of friendship and common projects we came with the idea of offering friends and family that were visiting Mexico for Ania & Oliver's wedding an unforgettable yet warm and familiar experience.
We came up with a plan that included accommodations in a 100% Mexican home that has been adapted to receive guests and offers the best service and the opportunity to experience a Mexican family from the inside. This Bed &breakfast is Lucero's Inn and it's the same house were we shared so many special moments. The Inn is attended by Lucero her self and not only is much cheaper than other options but offers a unique way to know Mexico. (Details at Lucero's Inn)
This plan also included customized tours to most representative places in Mexico City and it's surroundings with a professional tour guide and always accompanied by one o us. We also offered private transportation in luxury vans to and from every destination including airport.
After the great journey that our guests had been through, we thought that there must be something we could do to be able to offer every one the opportunity to know Mexico and it's people thorough an other point of view different from the regular tourist one, that usually makes you end up in the most expensive and less Mexican places, and we created Barefoot Mexico that offers a very intimate yet rich and complete experience.
Our philosophy is to adapt to your needs and being able to show the magnificence of our country our culture and our people.
